Air contains solid particles, salt and other aggressive contaminants and aerosols that can cause plugging and fouling, resulting in deterioration in performance, higher operating costs and expensive shutdowns.

Contaminated combustion air can also lead to corrosion and erosion, which in the long run damages critical operational components and causes breakdowns and major repairs.

Static filter systems are designed to clean combustion and ventilation air in plants with gas turbines, diesel engines and compressors located in rural, urban or industrial environments. Highly efficient air filters are critical to ensure the reliability, efficiency and operating economy of the air compressors, air turbines and large piston engines.

The system should be adapted according to the operating conditions at each facility. A typical static filter system consists of:

  • A weather hood
  • A droplet separator for mist & moisture protection
  • A pre-filter stage; a panel or a bag filter
  • A final filter stage; an F7-F9 compact filter or a E10-E12 EPA filter or a combination of both.

Other features can be added depending of the environment, such as an anti-icing system, a trash or insect screens or inlet air cooling.
